SASSA will likely be rendering solutions including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it is alarmed regarding the superior range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a result of lack click here of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area every day. The provider position established for intervention experiences a higher influx of likely beneficiaries, which makes it tricky with the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to enable the servicing of all clients and maximize usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
